If you’ve ever dreamed of being part of a nature documentary, this tour is for you. From the moment we stepped on the boat to the minute we left the island, everything was beautifully managed.
The snorkeling was unreal—I counted five different types of butterflyfish in one spot! The staff made sure we had everything we needed, and there was even time to relax on the island under palm umbrellas. I didn’t know the Red Sea could be this stunning. Now I do, and I won’t shut up about it.

Giftun Island was my surprise favorite during our Egypt visit. The pickup was smooth, in a nice new van with AC and polite drivers. Once on the boat, we were offered refreshments and a guide explained the day’s plan in perfect English.
We snorkeled at two different spots and saw layers upon layers of corals—every shade of orange, purple, and red. The equipment was high quality, and I always felt safe. This wasn’t just a swim, it was a full ocean immersion

By the time we reached Giftun Island, I had forgotten what emails and alarms were. This tour is the perfect combo of guided experience and free time. You can explore the reefs or just vibe on the beach.
Our group had about 15 people, so it never felt crowded. I spent half the time floating near the reef and the other half building sandcastles like a five-year-old. Everything was included—gear, transport, and even a pretty solid lunch. No stress, just sun and sea.

I never expected Egypt to have tropical beaches, but Giftun Island proved me wrong in the best way. This full-day snorkeling trip was pure joy. The reef was alive with movement—fish darting everywhere, sea fans swaying like they had rhythm.
Our guide pointed out rare species and kept an eye on us without hovering. The water was so clear, I didn’t need a waterproof camera—my memory’s crystal. Giftun is Egypt’s little paradise, and it’s hard to believe more people don’t talk about it.

Who knew Egypt had its own version of the Caribbean? Giftun Island blew us away. The tour was very professional, the guide explained everything clearly, and we felt well taken care of.
The highlight for me was snorkeling among colorful fish and soft corals that danced with the current. I even saw a blue-spotted stingray glide past. Afterward, I lay on the sand sipping cold juice, soaking up the peaceful island vibes. It’s the kind of day you replay in your mind during long meetings at work.

If you’ve never snorkeled in the Red Sea, Giftun Island is where you should start. We joined the full-day excursion in February and everything from hotel pickup to drop-off was spot-on. The boat was sleek and the staff knew their stuff.
But the real treat? The marine life. I saw clownfish, lionfish, and a sea turtle that was clearly a local celebrity. The coral formations were massive and looked prehistoric. Afterward, we had time to sunbathe on the island’s warm sands. Felt like we discovered a slice of paradise just floating out in the sea.

We went on the Giftun Island snorkeling tour in early March 2025, and the weather was absolute perfection—sunny with a light sea breeze. The journey to the island was part of the fun, with stunning views and smooth sailing.
Once there, we were led to prime snorkeling spots. I was awestruck by how clear the water was—you could see the coral and marine life from the boat. After snorkeling, we lounged on the beach like royalty. Honestly, it felt like we were part of a travel magazine shoot. Everything was well-organized and elegant.

Took the whole family—including two grumpy teens—on the Giftun Island snorkeling day, and folks, they actually smiled. That’s a miracle in itself. We got picked up right at our hotel, and the transport van was more comfortable than my cousin’s living room back home.
On the boat ride over, the staff kept the energy light and fun. Once we got to the snorkeling spots, my youngest yelled, “I just saw Nemo!” at least five times. The coral reefs were vibrant and packed with fish. The crew made sure even first-timers were comfortable in the water. Big win.

As someone who’s terrified of missing out, I was NOT gonna leave Hurghada without checking out Giftun Island. From the moment we hopped on the boat, everything was smooth sailing—literally. Crystal-clear waters, snorkeling masks provided, and coral gardens that made me feel like I was in an underwater version of Versailles.
We even had time to just chill on the island’s soft sandy beaches. The Red Sea’s colors are insane—so vivid it’s hard to believe it’s real. I appreciated how the guides kept things upbeat without being pushy. This was luxury-meets-nature and I’m still dreaming about it.

We booked the Giftun Island Snorkeling trip on a whim, and boy, did it turn out to be the highlight of our Red Sea vacation. The transportation was seamless—our hotel pickup arrived right on time in a comfy, air-conditioned van. Once we hit the island, it felt like we’d been dropped into a postcard. Turquoise water, white sandy beaches, and coral reefs that looked like they were painted by an artist with a wild imagination.
The guides were absolute pros and made sure we were safe and having fun the entire time. I swam next to a parrotfish the size of my leg and saw more marine colors than in my entire wardrobe. The lunch on the beach was surprisingly tasty too. Honestly, if you’re looking for a blend of relaxation and excitement, this one checks all the boxes.
