Day 01:
Arrive at Cairo International Airport
Your journey through time begins the minute to pass through immigration and you meet your tour manager. He will be there to assist you with your and to escort you to your hotel which in this case will be the luxurious Kimpinski Nile Hotel. After you have checked in the two of you will discuss your itinerary and confirm your pick-up times for upcoming day trips. With a complimentary "welcome" drink and the beauty of Cairo waiting, you’re free to spend the rest of the day as you wish.

Day 02:
Memphis and pyramids tour
After breakfast, you will start your day trip with a visit to the old capital of ancient Egypt, Memphis. This area was started by King Menes during in the days of the Old Kingdom. Your day continues with a trip to Djoser’s Step Pyramid in Sakkara, which is a testament to the architectural mastery of an architect named Imhotep. The pyramid was built in honor of King Zoser.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and then travel to the Giza necropolis where you can explore the pyramids of Cheops, Mykerinus, and Chefren. These are known as the Great Pyramids of Giza, and this is also where you will see the Great Sphinx with its pharaoh head and lion body, and the Valley Temple.

Day 03:
Day Trip in Cairo
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel, and then head out for a day of exploration and fun in Cairo. You will enjoy a private tour of the Egyptian Museum, including a glimpse into the life of Tutankhamen. The artifacts in this museum will take you back to ancient Egypt for an educational morning.
Next up is the Salah El Din Citadel. In 1183 AD, the citadel was built by Salah El Din in an effort to protect the city from attacking Crusaders. After the citadel, travel to the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. This mosque is dedicated to an ancient Egyptian ruler who controlled the land for more than 40 years.
After lunch, you will have an opportunity to shop at the El Khalili Bazaar. This is one of the most robust “shopping centers” in the city, and it is an esteemed part of Middle Eastern history. Moving on, you will end your day trip with a visit to some of the most amazing churches of the city. This includes the Church of St. Barbara, the Church of Abu Serga, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the Hanging Church.
You will return to your hotel for an enjoyable evening in Cairo.

Day 04:
Luxury Sonesta Dahabiya Amirat Cruise
After breakfast you’ll be driven to Cairo Airport where you’ll board a flight to Luxor for your luxury Dahabiya Nile cruise. Your Sonesta Dahabiya Amirat cruise liner will take you along the river for the next week, ensuring you see the most spectacular sights in comfort and complete safety.
After lunch, you will leave the cruise ship to see a complex of temples located at Amon-Ra at Karnak. You will see a hypostyle hall that was built with 137 columns, and it is a spectacular sight. You will also see the 28th Dynasty Luxor Temple before spending a relaxing night on board the cruise ship in Luxor.

Day 05:
Day Excursion in the West Bank
Enjoy your breakfast on the cruise, and then head off board to explore the West Bank. The Valley of the Kings will show you where the tomb of Tutankhamen was found by Howard Carter in 1922. You will also visit the Valley of the Queens. Next up will be the temple dedicated to Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon.
Back on your luxury Dahabiya Nile cruise, you will sail toward Esna and spend the night moored in a peaceful Esna location.

A Day to Sail
Relax on your cruise ship as you glide gracefully through the waters of the Nile River. You will end up near a beautiful island of the Nile where you will enjoy dinner and rest up for the next day of your Egyptian adventure.

The Temple of Edfu
After breakfast, your cruise ship will sail you to Edfu for an off board excursion. See the Temple of Edfu, and then spend another night on the Nile River.

The Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo
Enjoy breakfast on the luxury Dahabiya Nile cruise, and then sail to Kom Ombo. Your off board excursion will take you to the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo. This temple was dedicated to two gods: Horus and Sobek. Horus had a falcon head and is known as the god of the morning sun. Sobek is known as the god of the crocodile. Spend another enjoyable night on board your cruise ship on the Nile.

Sailing Adventure to Aswan
Spend another relaxing day taking in the sights and sounds of the Nile River. You will sail to Aswan and spend the night on the river.

Spend the day off the cruise ship in Aswan. You will see the High Dam, which was constructed in 1971. You will also learn about the Philae Temple which had be be reconstructed in the same year the High Dam was completed.

Aswan Airport to Cairo Airport
Your luxury Dahabiya Nile cruise is over, and it is time to head back to Cairo. One of our tour managers will escort you to the airport and you will board you short flight to Cairo. On arrival, you’ll be met and taken to your hotel where you’ll check in for the night.

Homeward Bound
Final day of your 12 day Luxury Dahabiya Nile Cruise tour. Wake up to one last breakfast at your hotel and then you"ll check out and you"ll be driven to Cairo airport in the company of one of our tour managers and a driver. They will assist you with your luggage and with check in if need be, and then it’s unfortunately it will be time to say goodbye.
