An intensive morning of sightseeing in ancient Thebes is followed by a scenic transfer and boarding the Dahabiya.

Luxor Sightseeing: Early morning pickup from your Luxor (Airport / Hotel / Train station). Start with a visit to the magnificent Karnak Temple, the largest and most important religious complex in ancient Egypt. Then, cross the Nile to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings (exploring 3 tombs), the unique funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the colossal Colossi of Memnon.

Embarkation: After the tour, you will drive (approximately 1 hour) to Esna to embark your Akhnaton Dahabiya Nile Cruise. The crew will welcome you on board and ensure your bags are taken to your cabins.

Sailing & Overnight: We will immediately set sail for El Hegz Island, where the Dahabiya will moor for the night. Enjoy your Dinner on the sundeck or on the tranquil bank of the river Nile. Overnight on board.

Scenic Sailing: Enjoy Lunch onboard and continue sailing south. Experience the peaceful, picturesque, and magic nature along the River Nile, slowly passing by the plain life of the farmers and fishermen and the green, fertile landscapes with sugar cane fields, bananas, and date palm-trees.

Ramadi Anchorage: Shortly before sunset, we drop anchor near Ramadi Island, where we enjoy Dinner in an atmospheric setting on the riverbank. Overnight on board.

Early Sail & Silsila: An early morning sail takes us to Gebel el-Silsila. Enjoy Breakfast on board before going ashore to discover the old Pharaonic quarries of Silsela and the little-known rock-cut Temple of Hormoheb. From the top of the mountain, we enjoy a breathtaking view over the Nile Valley.

Sailing South: Later on, set sailing toward Kom Ombo. Listen to the sounds of the water buffalo as they wade in the shallow water beside the banks of the Nile, the donkeys as they go about their day-to-day business, and the various bird life of the river.

Island Overnight: We stay at the edge of Al Bashir Island for Dinner and overnight anchoring.
