Tour Plan

Itinerary

A.M you will be picked up from your Hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor then you will be transferred by private a/c vehicle to the West Bank of the Nile where you will visit Medinat Habu. It is an archaeological locality situated near the foot of the Theban Hills on the West Bank of the River Nile opposite the modern city of Luxor, Egypt. Although other structures are located within the area, the location is today associated almost exclusively with the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III The temple, some 150m long, is of orthodox design, and resembles closely the mortuary temple of Ramesses II (the Ramesseum). You will also be able to visit some other temples inside Habu Temple such as Temple of Amun dating to the 18th Dynasty, built by Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. It has undergone many alterations and modifications over the years.

Then continue your day to Deir el Medina, known as The Valley of the worker. Deir el-Medina is an ancient Egyptian village which was home to the artisans who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th to 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom period (ca. 1550–1080 BC) The paintings appear so fresh.

End your day Tour with a visit to Valley of the Queens it's is a place where wives of Pharaohs were buried in ancient times. In ancient times, it was known as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning –"the place of the Children of the Pharaoh", because along with the Queens of the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties (1550–1070 BCE) many princes and princesses were also buried with various members of the nobility. You will be returned to your hotel in Luxor.

From the moment we stepped into the Ramesseum, we were swept away. The guide didn’t just list dates—he performed the history, and even cracked a joke about Ramses posing for his own statues 😂.

The architecture is jaw-dropping. Giant columns, fallen statues, and intricate hieroglyphs that you can almost hear if you squint hard enough.

Medinat Habu was quieter but deeply impressive. It gave us a glimpse into ancient state propaganda with its battle murals.

Then the Valley of the Nobles wrapped it up with rich, personal stories in painted detail. One tomb even had a guy holding a goose—our guide called him “the first farmer influencer.” We laughed, we learned, we left with sand in our shoes and awe in our hearts.

We got picked up from our hotel early, coffee in hand and spirits high. Ramesseum Temple was the first stop and I gotta say, Ramses II wasn’t just building monuments, he was making statements. That fallen colossus is absurdly huge—like the size of a semi-truck lying on its side.

Our guide was super engaging and kept things fun. He even gave us a quick “how to read a pharaoh’s name” crash course 😂.

Medinat Habu had us speechless. It felt like the best-preserved comic book of ancient times—battles, gods, prisoners, glory.

And then the Valley of the Nobles surprised me. The tombs were so rich with color, and the scenes showed not kings but people—laughing, fishing, making wine.

We chose the afternoon departure, and that decision paid off. The lighting at Medinat Habu and the Ramesseum was like golden hour on a whole new level 🌅.

This tour made everything easy. Hotel pickup right on time, a spacious car with strong AC (praise be), and zero stress about tickets. That meant we could focus entirely on the experience.

The Ramesseum feels mythic. I mean, just walking up to those massive columns, you get chills. Our guide had this way of weaving ancient facts with modern comparisons that actually helped us remember the info.

Medinat Habu had incredible ceiling art. The bright blues and reds were still visible, and the layout was easier to follow than most temples.

Not gonna lie, I mostly came for the photo ops, but I ended up getting a full-blown history lesson and loving every minute of it 😂.

The Ramesseum is majestic—even in partial ruins. That fallen statue of Ramses is massive. Like, you could live in his ear massive. The guide joked that Ramses was the original influencer, and honestly… not wrong.

Medinat Habu might be my favorite. It’s underrated, quieter than other sites, and feels like a hidden treasure. The stories on the temple walls are brutal, but fascinating—ancient glory carved into every inch.

We’re not new to travel, but this 5-hour private tour felt totally different—like stepping into a movie set that hadn’t changed for 30 centuries 🎬.

Our trip began at the Ramesseum Temple, and let me tell you, it hits different when it’s just your small group and these towering statues looming over you. I had no clue Ramses II had a temple that massive outside of Abu Simbel.

Medinat Habu was packed with visual history—vivid carvings of battle scenes that haven’t faded away with time. You really get a sense of the drama and pride of ancient Egypt.

Then the Valley of the Nobles—unexpectedly emotional. These weren’t just dusty tombs, but snapshots of real people’s lives. One tomb showed a banquet scene with music and dancing. You could almost hear it 🎶.

I expected a solid half-day of sightseeing. What I got was an epic adventure through time.

The Ramesseum Temple set the tone with its towering pillars and massive statues—one of which lays dramatically fallen, like a titan mid-nap 🗿. It’s wild how much grandeur is still there, even in ruins.

Medinat Habu surprised me with its vibrant colors. The hieroglyphs aren’t just there—they pop. You don’t need to squint to see the details.

The Valley of the Nobles added a more intimate touch. These weren’t kings, but the artwork in the tombs is just as intricate, maybe even more personal. It gave the whole day more emotional depth.

History buffs, unite! But also, prepare to laugh along the way 😂. This 5-hour tour had us learning, gasping, and giggling in equal measure.

First off, I was not expecting the Ramesseum to be so grand. Seeing Ramses II’s fallen statue up close was humbling—imagine building something so big people are still talking about it 3,000 years later! Our guide painted such vivid pictures with his storytelling that even our teenagers were hanging on every word.

Medinat Habu was like walking into a secret temple only a few travelers know about. The carvings of prisoners and war scenes were intense, but fascinating. Our guide explained them like scenes from an ancient action movie 🎬.

Let me just say: private tours are the way to go if you’re not a fan of crowds or megaphones 🎧. We booked the morning departure and practically had the Ramesseum to ourselves. There’s something surreal about standing beneath the ruins of a fallen statue taller than your house and just… soaking in the silence.

The Egyptologist guide didn’t just talk at us—he shared stories. Like how Ramses II built the Ramesseum as his mortuary temple to outshine all others. And honestly? He kinda did.

Medinat Habu was all about military prowess. The war scenes carved into the walls looked like ancient propaganda posters. And the Valley of the Nobles was such a refreshing contrast—it was colorful, detailed, and deeply human. You could see how these “lesser-known” tombs tell richer, more intimate stories than the big-name sites.

There’s just something magical about exploring history when the sun starts to dip over the desert horizon. Our afternoon version of the Ramesseum Temple tour couldn’t have been better timed. Watching the late sunlight hit the colossi of Ramses II was a golden dream.

What I loved most? The quiet majesty of the Ramesseum. It wasn’t crowded, and the stories carved in stone came alive thanks to our amazing guide. He even cracked a few hieroglyph puns—yes, those exist 😄.

Medinat Habu was equally striking. I’ve seen temples, but this one had colors still popping on its pillars. You don’t expect that kind of vibrance after thousands of years!

Last stop: Valley of the Nobles. It’s often overlooked, but those tombs offer such a personal window into everyday ancient lives. We learned about wine makers, scribes, and even tomb artists themselves.

Whew! This tour was like time-traveling into a history book with the pages flapping in 3D 🤯. We kicked off our adventure at the Ramesseum Temple—honestly, I had no idea it was THIS massive! Ramses II sure wasn’t modest with his monuments. Our Egyptologist guide was like a walking, talking encyclopedia, but somehow managed to keep it funny and light.

Next up, Medinat Habu. If you think the carvings at Ramesseum are cool, wait till you see the military scenes here. It’s like ancient Egyptian Marvel comics—minus the capes. And then the Valley of the Nobles blew us away with all the intricate tomb paintings. These weren’t pharaohs, just “regular” nobles, but their stories were painted in such vivid colors it felt like they were gossiping with us over 3,000 years later 😂.

  11. Ethan Walker

This tour felt like a backstage pass to ancient Egypt! Our group of two had all the time in the world to take in the intricate wall art at Medinat Habu — which, by the way, is shockingly well-preserved. No crowds, no rush, just us, our awesome guide, and some truly epic ancient history.

I was most impressed by the Ramesseum Temple itself. Those giant fallen statues and hieroglyphs told stories I’d never heard in school. Our guide painted pictures with his words, explaining not just who Ramses II was, but why he was basically the Beyoncé of his time.

  12. Grace Thompson

From the moment we stepped into the vehicle, we knew we were in for something special. The air-conditioned ride through Luxor’s west bank was a blessing in the warm weather — it felt like luxury travel, not a dusty desert journey. The guide was a storyteller at heart, and by the time we reached the Ramesseum, I swear I could hear the echoes of Ramses II himself!

The Medinat Habu temple stunned us with its vibrant carvings still dancing with color. And walking through the Valley of the Nobles? It was like time-traveling into the personal lives of ancient Egyptian elites — so intimate, so human.
