I was hesitant to leave our comfy hotel bed for a sunrise tour, but boy, this was worth it 🌅. Riding into the Sinai was beautiful, and once we reached the monastery, I felt completely still. The architecture is simple but ancient, and the history runs deep. We spent time just sitting in the garden area and soaking it all in. It’s a different pace than most tours in Egypt — and that’s why I loved it.

The beauty of this trip is in its quiet power. No gold, no grand temples, but St. Catherine’s Monastery holds weight in history and emotion. Seeing the chapel and the ancient Burning Bush site was surreal. You leave feeling like you visited something sacred, no matter your background. Oh, and the road trip vibes were pretty great too

This trip had a meditative feel to it. We left the hustle and bustle of Sharm behind and by the time we reached St. Catherine, it was like entering another world. Mountains, crisp air, and the feeling that time stands still. The guide explained the connection to Moses and the biblical roots, but also pointed out the art and the multi-faith importance of the monastery.

We joined this half-day tour during our longer Sharm stay and it was a gem 💎. You wouldn’t think Christian heritage in Egypt would be this well-preserved, but this place proves otherwise. It’s surrounded by desert, but inside the monastery walls — it’s alive with stories. Totally unexpected, and totally worth it.

This was a quieter tour compared to the hustle of Cairo or Luxor, but it had a completely different kind of beauty. St. Catherine’s Monastery is humble yet rich with meaning. It sits right below Mount Sinai and feels like you’re walking inside a biblical story. I loved hearing the tales of the monks and seeing their old manuscripts. The guide was super respectful of the sacred nature of the place.

Whew! That desert air was crispy in the morning 🏜️. We cruised in a comfy van with panoramic windows that made the drive itself feel like a documentary. Once at the monastery, we wandered the courtyards, saw the Burning Bush, and even stepped into a chapel that dates back 1500 years. I didn’t expect to be this fascinated, but here we are.

I booked this trip because I wanted to see something spiritual and different. St. Catherine’s delivered. The transportation was top-notch — clean, modern, felt safe. The monastery had this mystical charm that you don’t get anywhere else. We learned about Christian, Islamic, and Jewish connections all in one place! Ended the tour with some tea and sweet local snacks in the village nearby.

This tour from Sharm El Sheikh really surprised me. We had a smooth ride through the desert, watching the sunrise behind Mount Sinai — just that was worth waking up at 3 AM for 🌄. Arriving at the monastery, the peaceful atmosphere and ancient stone walls hit me in the feels. You don’t have to be religious to appreciate the deep history embedded here.

We had a blast visiting St. Catherine’s Monastery! It’s literally a treasure chest of ancient manuscripts, stunning icons, and one of the oldest libraries in the world. I never thought I’d be nerding out over 6th-century architecture on my vacation, but here we are 😂. Everything was very well organized and the guide gave us rich background stories that brought the place to life.

We started early from Sharm El Sheikh and honestly, the ride itself was super comfy with modern transport (thank you, AC!). Reaching the foot of the mountains and seeing the St. Catherine Monastery tucked between those legendary peaks was just mind-blowing. The whole place breathes centuries of history — we even saw the burning bush site 😮. The surrounding silence in the Sinai mountains gave the entire experience a serene, mystical vibe. A must for history lovers and early risers!
