Discover the Luxury of El Bey Dahabiya A Timeless Nile Cruise Experience During Egypt’s Ottoman era, Turkish and Egyptian cultures blended beautifully, sharing words and titles. One such term is bey, meaning ‘lord’ in Turkish. Originally a title for provincial governors, it later became an honorary recognition. Though the 1952 Revolution ended its official use, Egyptians still use bey affectionately to show respect and admiration.
