Sailing on the MS Royal La Terrasse felt like drifting through history while wrapped in velvet comfort . From the moment we stepped aboard , the staff made us feel like Pharaohs — without the pyramids to climb ! The rooms were sparkling clean and decorated with that elegant blend of modern style and Egyptian charm . One afternoon , we were sipping hibiscus tea on the sun deck watching the sun melt into the Nile behind Kom Ombo Temple — I felt like I was in a movie scene . Even the smallest details were handled with care , and the onboard chef deserves an award for that creamy koshari ! This was more than a cruise — it was a front-row seat to Egypt’s story , all with luxury at your fingertips

We ain’t used to five-star anything where I come from , but this cruise ? Felt like I’d been mistaken for royalty . The ship was slick , the service was smoother than a fresh jar of molasses , and don’t get me started on the excursions . One morning , we were learning about Horus at Edfu , next thing I knew , I was dancing with locals in a Nubian village ! Rooms were top-notch , water pressure strong ( that matters ) , and the AC colder than a January morning in Iowa . Pure bliss .

  3. Shawna Belle

The MS Royal La Terrasse didn’t just show us the Nile — it embraced us with elegance . I loved how the ship mixed old-world charm with high-end amenities . The temples of Luxor and Karnak were jaw-dropping , and our guide was a walking encyclopedia . After long days exploring tombs , I’d head to the upper deck , grab a cocktail , and just soak in the timeless scenery . Everything about this trip was seamless — from airport transfers to nightly turn-down service . Classy , comfy , and downright unforgettable

  4. Toby Simmons

Now THIS is what luxury feels like . The MS Royal La Terrasse turned my Nile cruise dreams into full-blown reality . We cruised past ancient sites , saw crocodiles sunbathing , and even visited the Valley of the Kings . What struck me most was the way the cruise handled every aspect — the cabins felt like boutique hotel rooms , the food was gourmet , and the entertainment was lively but tasteful . If I had a nickel for every time I said “ wow ” this trip , I’d afford another cruise

  5. Raylene Huff

This cruise is a whole vibe ! I came for temples and tombs , but I stayed for the massages and mint tea . There’s just something magical about sailing into the sunrise with soft music playing in the lounge and your feet tucked under a warm throw . The Karnak and Philae temples were the highlights for me — so full of mystery and grandeur . Back on the ship , it was luxury on tap . Our suite had Nile views that would make your jaw drop , and the chef even whipped up vegetarian meals just for me . Bravo !

  6. Ezekiel Boone

I never thought I’d learn so much and eat so well at the same time . Every day brought a new story from ancient Egypt — I’m talking obelisks , crocodile gods , tombs you could walk through . But the best part ? Coming back to an air-conditioned room , ordering fresh mango juice , and watching the Nile slip by from the comfort of a sun lounger . The boat was immaculate , the staff were like family by the end , and the view from Aswan at dusk ? Chef’s kiss .

From a gal who’s used to camping in Tennessee , lemme just say — this was next-level comfort . My husband and I booked the MS Royal La Terrasse for our anniversary and WOW . Picture marble bathrooms , silky sheets , and gourmet dinners under the stars . The crew treated us like long-lost friends . I even cried when we visited Abu Simbel — it was just that powerful . And then came back to chocolate-dipped fruit in our cabin . I mean , come on !

  8. Gunner McAlister

Adventure ? Check . Culture ? Double check . Comfort ? Off the charts . This cruise was like riding a luxury train through the timeline of Egypt . I spent my days exploring statues taller than silos and my nights sipping cocktails by the pool . The whole experience was smooth — no hiccups , no stress . One night , we docked near Esna and had a spontaneous drum circle with locals — I’m not even kidding . Life-changing stuff .

  9. Travis Joe Larkin

It’s hard to put into words how special this cruise was . Maybe it was the candlelit dinners with Nile views , or the sound of the call to prayer echoing across Luxor as we sipped wine on the deck . Every detail was polished , from the bed linens to the guided tours . We loved the stop in Edfu — riding a horse carriage to the temple made us feel like old-time adventurers . It was all just … perfect .

  10. Raylene Huff

We booked this cruise on a whim , and it ended up being the highlight of our entire trip . The MS Royal La Terrasse made us feel special from start to finish . Room was cozy but stylish , with big windows to see the temples float by . I’m still dreaming about the sunset over the Nile with my feet in the Jacuzzi . The crew even remembered my coffee order by day two — that’s luxury , honey . And don’t even get me started on the belly dancing night — hilarious and amazing !

Okay, y’all — if you’ve never floated down the Nile with a cold mango juice and the sun setting over ancient ruins, then you’ve missed a feeling I can only describe as pure peace. The MS Royal La Terrasse made every minute feel special.

Our room was always cool and clean, meals were fit for a pharaoh, and the view was something out of a movie. Luxor Temple by torchlight? Gave me goosebumps.

  13. Ricky Don Walters

This cruise wasn’t just a vacation — it was an experience. The MS Royal La Terrasse gave us five golden days of pampering and culture. From the elegant dining to the knowledgeable guides, everything felt thoughtfully planned.

I appreciated the pace — not too fast, not too slow. We explored massive temples by day and dined under soft lantern light by night. Watching the full moon over the river with soft oud music playing in the background? Unreal.

  14. Nancy Jo Caldwell

The MS Royal La Terrasse was like stepping into a different world — one where history comes alive and everyone treats you like royalty. I couldn’t believe how relaxing it was to cruise from Luxor to Aswan.

Every detail was on point — from the polished floors to the personalized service. I particularly loved watching the Nile villages roll by as I drank my morning coffee. My favorite moment? Spotting camels on the west bank while lounging in the pool.

  15. Bobby Lee Jenkins

I’ll admit, I came for the history — Ramses, hieroglyphs, ancient gods — but I stayed for the hot showers, air-conditioned rooms, and chocolate croissants on the MS Royal La Terrasse.

Seriously, who knew luxury like this was floating down the Nile? Between daily adventures and nightly feasts, we found time to soak in the jacuzzi and even caught a Nubian dance performance that lit up the upper deck like a county fair on fireworks night.

  16. Edith Louise Campbell

Never thought I’d be dancing to traditional Egyptian music under the stars on a river cruise, but here we are. The MS Royal La Terrasse delivered five days of elegance, excitement, and an unexpected amount of laughter.

We had breakfast while gliding past riverside farms, then explored ancient wonders like the Valley of the Kings in the afternoon. Every part of the ship was spotless, and the beds? Fluffier than my grandma’s Sunday biscuits

  17. Dale Eugene Brock

There’s just something about drifting down the Nile while sipping hibiscus tea on a deck lounger that makes you rethink every stressful Monday you’ve ever had. The MS Royal La Terrasse was the most peaceful five days of my life.

Our cabin was modern and clean, the staff knew our names by the second day, and we even caught a sunset dance performance on the top deck. The excursions to Kom Ombo and Edfu temples were timed perfectly to avoid the midday heat, which was a blessing for us country folks.

  18. Sue Ann Whitmore

My husband and I booked this cruise to celebrate our anniversary, and I swear the Nile heard us. From champagne welcomes to nightly turndown service with towel animals, the MS Royal La Terrasse knows how to pamper you.

The itinerary was a perfect blend of relaxation and discovery. We floated from temples to tombs, always returning to air-conditioned comfort and Egyptian tea service.

  19. Travis Dean Milford

I expected a boat, but what I got was an Egyptian dream on water. The MS Royal La Terrasse gave us the deluxe treatment from day one. Our suite had plush bedding, a mini-fridge full of goodies, and those floor-to-ceiling windows that made every Nile sunrise cinematic.

We docked at some of the most incredible archaeological sites in the world, and our guide brought them to life with just the right amount of detail and humor. The entertainment on board included belly dancing and a traditional Nubian night, and boy, did I embarrass myself with the drums — worth it.

  20. Loretta Mae Dixon

Sailing the Nile like Cleopatra with a smoothie in hand and Wi-Fi strong enough to post it — that’s the energy the MS Royal La Terrasse delivered. We had five days of smooth sailing and luxury living, with comfy beds, fancy showers, and a rooftop pool that made us forget we were technically in the desert.

From Karnak Temple’s massive columns to Philae Island’s fairy-tale-like setting, the historical stops were mind-blowing. The staff was lovely, never intrusive, and somehow always nearby with fresh towels or warm bread.

  21. Billy Ray Duncan

We boarded the Grand Rose with zero expectations and walked off as amateur Egyptologists. Between lounging on the sun deck with lemon-mint juice and exploring the Temple of Kom Ombo with our guide (shoutout to Tamer, the king of puns), we learned so much and had a blast doing it.

The ship itself is floating comfort—plush interiors, sleek modern touches, and beds I didn’t want to leave. The itinerary kept us moving, but never felt rushed.
