The first travelers looking for luxury on the Nile, added comfort measures to the felucca, a wooden boat with its handmade genuine sails, to give the new version, DAHABIYA “golden boat”, name given by a monarch in the 19th century. With Dahabiya avoid the noise of the 20 century and allows us to explore Egypt of the 19 century with modern facilities. Dahabiya is a famous name among the Egyptians, especially the elderly and intellectuals.

Dahabiya, refers to a type of boats that were used by the royal family in ancient Egypt and many of the aristocrats in their movements in the waters of the Nile, during full 15 months of effort and hopes came out the Miran Dahabiya for the first time in 2009, mixing the dream of traveling the Nile fascinating and responsibility of caring led us to invest in Miran. The construction of Miran is hand made with traditional tools of the last century by a local craftsman, you see his art in each piece and every corner.

Tour Itinerary

DAY (01):

Welcome to Luxor, (around the clock). Vantage Travels representative will meet and assist you to finish the arrival procedures, having your luggage checked he will escort you to the Dahabiya by deluxe air-conditioned vehicle Embarkation for a relaxing week sailing the Nile After lunch, excursion to visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of 137 columns, followed by the imposing 28th, Dynasty Luxor Temple. Overnight moored on the Nile banks of Luxor.

DAY (02):

After breakfast you will start your journey to discover the Curse of the Pharaohs by visiting west bank of Luxor where the valley of kings – which had the royal tombs of kings during new kingdom – Hatshepsut temple – the only female ruled Egypt over 18 years – and colossi of Memnon are located. Ending your tour, you will be driven back to your Dahabiya to enjoy lunch & dinner during sailing to Edfu passing through Esna lock. Sail on the way to Esna. (noon time). Overnight nearby Esna.

DAY (03):

Today will be a leisurely day. After breakfast, commence sailing. Overnight moored beside a Nile island.

DAY (04):

Enjoy your breakfast on board, then start your journey with amazing transfer to Edfu temple (Horus Temple), Edfu temple consists of traditional elements of Egyptian Temples of the New Kingdom, together with a few Greek elements, back to your Dahabiya to enjoy lunch & dinner. Overnight moored beside a Nile island.

DAY (05):

Today you will sail on the way to Kom Ombo. Overnight moored beside a Nile island.

DAY (06):

Visit Kom Ombo to see the Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus, god of the morning sun. A leisurely sailing to Aswan and moored nearby Aswan Bridge.

DAY (07): Luxor

Arriving to Aswan at the early morning, breakfast on board then enjoy visiting the high dam & unfinished Obelisk by air conditioned vehicle, then you will use another kind of transportation (Motor Boat) to visit Philae Temple back to your Dahabiya to enjoy lunch & dinner.

DAY (08): – Departure Luxor

Breakfast aboard the Dahabiya followed by disembarkation.
