We joined the Hamata Islands snorkeling tour at the end of March 2025 . Everything from the pickup to the final goodbye felt smooth and relaxed .
The best part ? No pressure . We could snorkel at our own pace , explore each island’s shoreline , or just float and watch the marine world go by .
There were angelfish , damselfish , and even some coral gardens that looked like underwater sculptures . The whole trip felt well-balanced between adventure and comfort .
The views alone made it worth it — both above and below the water .

Snorkeling Like You’re in a National Geographic Film
We took this trip in late February and honestly , it felt like we were filming a documentary . Giant clams , sea cucumbers , barracuda — you name it .
The crew was passionate and full of knowledge about the marine ecosystem . It wasn’t just fun — it was deeply educational , too .
The ride to the islands was breezy and gorgeous , and the boat was new and well-maintained . They even played soft music on the way back which added to the chill , satisfied vibe

Underwater Paradise That’s Still Untouched
I’ve snorkeled in Thailand , the Bahamas , and even Fiji — but Hamata ? Totally blew me away .
It’s rare these days to find places that still feel wild and unspoiled , but the islands here genuinely do . We went in January and the water was crystal clear . The marine park status really makes a difference — you can tell it’s well protected .
There were only about 15 of us on the boat , so it never felt crowded . The staff handed out equipment , gave clear instructions , and let us enjoy ourselves without rushing .
Seeing coral walls alive with movement and color was like watching an underwater fireworks show .

Sun , Sea , Snorkeling — and a Whole Lot of Fun
I hadn’t snorkeled in over 10 years , but the Hamata Islands trip from Marsa Alam was the perfect way to get back into it . The guides were super patient and talked us through everything on the ride over .
We stopped at three reefs , and each one blew my mind . Coral as big as tables , fish in colors I didn’t know existed , and that blue water just went on forever .
By the second dive , I was floating like a pro again and having the time of my life . The boat itself was really nice , too — clean bathrooms , shade , and cold drinks always available .

Where Else Can You Snorkel Three Islands Before Lunch ?
What made this trip unique was the variety — each island had different marine life and coral shapes , and we visited all of them in one smooth , relaxing day .
The boat was fast but smooth , with sunbeds up top if you wanted to lounge between dives . The crew brought out juice and snacks , and even handed us eco-friendly sunscreen .
We especially loved the last island , where the reef drops suddenly and huge schools of fish swam past like a moving curtain .
By the time we got back , we were salty , sun-kissed , and grinning from ear to ear

Even Our Teenagers Were Impressed — That Says It All
My wife and I brought our two teenage sons on the Hamata Islands snorkeling trip in March , and I swear , we didn’t hear a single complaint all day . That alone makes this tour worth it .
The team running the trip was friendly and energetic . They kept things fun but safe — great balance . The gear was all in good condition and fit well , which is rare for group tours .
Snorkeling in that turquoise water felt like swimming in a tropical fishbowl . The kids were pointing out parrotfish and butterflyfish like little marine biologists .
Seeing our family laugh , explore , and bond in such a beautiful setting made it unforgettable

We booked the Hamata Islands snorkeling tour during our honeymoon in Marsa Alam and it ended up being our favorite activity of the entire trip .
Pickup from our resort was seamless , and the drive down south was actually really pretty . Once we got on the boat , the crew welcomed us with huge smiles and fresh fruit .
But oh man , the snorkeling — we saw clownfish , lionfish , and even a moray eel ! The water was like bathwater , and visibility was insane . Each of the three islands felt like stepping into a new world .
It’s rare to find something this untouched and peaceful .

We joined the Hamata Islands snorkeling trip from Marsa Alam in February 2025, and wow… just wow . The boat was modern , super clean , and the staff were incredibly helpful . The ride over was smooth and scenic — crystal clear water everywhere you looked .
Once we reached the first island , we jumped in and were instantly surrounded by colorful fish that looked straight out of a Pixar movie . The corals were unreal — purples , blues , and fiery orange ones , untouched and thriving . We visited three islands in total , and each one had its own magic .
The guides explained the marine life and even pointed out a sea turtle that swam casually past us like we were in its living room . Snacks on the boat were fresh and light — perfect between dives .
If you’re into marine life , this is one experience you’ll never forget .
