In this untraditional tour, you will visit El Minya in Upper Egypt. It is located approximately 245 Kilometer south of Cairo on the western bank of the Nile. The name of this city belongs to Ancient Egyptian, as they named it Men'at Khufu, that means the nursing city of Khufu (Cheops the builder of the great pyramids). In this magnificent city you will be able to visit a lot of old sightseeing and enjoy the view of the Nile and agriculture lands and Pharaonic tombs and ruins at Tuna El Gabal, Beni Hassan and Tel Amarna.
Our tour guide would be waiting for you in your hotel. After we drive for around 3 hours, we reach Al Minya. We begin our excursions including the great plain where the divine inspiration down on Akhenaten to build his city. After that you will have your lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we continue the trip to Tuna El Gabal where you can see the tomb of Petosiris, Ibis catacombs, and Isadora tomb.
Our tour guide will escort you to Beni Hassan, where you can see and visit a lot of tombs from Ancient Egyptian statesmen. You will visit Khnumhotep tomb. He was a governor under Amenemhat III in the 12th dynasty and Khety tomb as it belongs to a governor in the 11th dynasty sees Bakhet III tomb he was the Governor of the Oryx Nome. These are among the finest examples of tombs at the period.
Before proceeding to Tel El Amarna, you will have your lunch at a local restaurant there, then heading to visit the last site of your trip to El Minya from Cairo Tel El Amarna where you can see the northern tombs among of which Ahmose tomb and Huya tomb. After that, you will be derived back to your hotel in Cairo.
