Giza pyramids complex is the most awe-inspiring monument in Egypt and it's one of the world's wonders. The site consists of many features. However, the most popular structures at Giza Plateau are the three iconic pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. These pyramids were mainly built as glorious tombs for the kings of the 4th dynasty.
The golden living miracle of Pharaoh Khufu (2609 BC - 2584 BC) is considered to be the tallest archaeological wonder on the face of the earth for the past 3800 years since its invention in 2570 BC which stood at a height of 138.5 meters (454.4 ft) using 2.6 million limestone blocks and a total weight of 6 million tons. The pyramid was designed to face the four cardinal points of the compass while possessing a magical interior as seen across the epic King's chamber.
The Sphinx is a gigantic 4000-year-old limestone sculpture made by king Khafre (2558–2532 BC), towering 73 m in length and 20 m in height and it's the most remarkable relics of the ancient Egyptians. It's a creature with a man's head and a lion's body which was the spiritual guard of the site that stands as a magical symbol for power and wisdom.
It's a funerary complex that is recognizably one of the best-preserved structures from the Old Kingdom, particularly the 4th dynasty. It was mainly used for preparation for the afterlife world and for the ritual of mummification & the Opening of the mouth ceremony.
